A beautiful day at the Montauk Lighthouse beach, but Watch Out! there could be dangerous breakers ahead!

Dogs love to frolic along the seashore with their faithful humans at their side.  Along with all the exciting stuff to discover along the shore are dangers to watch out for so keep dog safety at the beach in mind.

During a beautiful romp along the dog friendly beach at the Montauk Lighthouse, we discovered one such shoreline danger.

Summer is beach time!  Time for the sun, the surf... and the blazing hot sand burning your dog's paws.  That's right, in addition to other safety considerations for your dog at the beach, the hot sand can be a big concern.  Sand can get even hotter than pavement when the sun is beating down on it and reflecting off the water!
