Yes, it's critical to have both tags and a microchip in case you get lost. I'm so glad my friends found Pepper, they are THE best Daddies, he's a lucky pup!
Microchipping is SO important! If someone isn't chipped, NOW is the perfect time to do so. More pets go missing on the 4th of July than at any other time of the year. Please secure your dogs/cats and microchip them!!!! Cammie!
I agree microchips are SO IMPORTANT! All our babies are chipped. We have had some miracle stories at the shelter where I volunteer - one adopted cat was lost and then found a year later two towns over because of a chip. Wish they were required by law like rabies shots.
I so LOVED meeting you this past weekend! Look forward to seeing each other next year in Myrtle Beach!
I loved meeting you too Kristen, I'll see you in Myrtle Beach for sure! I chipped my 15 yr. old cat after seeing all the heartbreak of list pets at the shelter where I volunteer. I will always chip my dogs & cats!
I'm so happy Pepper ended up with an amazing family, I know they'll take such great care of him. I'm amazed as well how many people do not know how important it is to microchip pets. So much heartbreak could be avoided.
Aw, thanks! Yes, I did have the upcoming holiday in mind. Shelters really fill up over 4th of July, it's so sad. Thanks for stopping by the blog Rugby!
Microchipping is very important. On the other paw, we are glad daddy found you

DeleteI know microchipping is important, but my cats aren't microchipped because of a potential medical issue. I watch them like a hawk!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, some pets cannot be chipped due to medical reasons. You have to be hyper-vigilant in keeping them safe!
DeleteSuch a cute face when your blog came up on my laptop!! Such a good reminder and perfect timing with Independence Day just around the corner!! :D

ReplyDeleteExcellent! Mine too.
DeleteMicrochipping is important as well as checking them regularly. We had to get Mr. N rechipped. The reader couldn't find one.
ReplyDeleteYes, very important to check your chip annually and keep your contact info up to date with the microchip company!
DeleteWell you are just the cutest ever! All my pets are microchipped and I recommend it to anyone that has a pet
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks so much Edie! Mine are chipped as well, I always recommend it.
DeleteIt would be heartbreaking to lose a pet like that.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I see the heartbreak of lost pets at the shelter all the time. It's the worst! Microchips can help so much.
