That's a place I've always wanted to visit. It looks like you guys had fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great place to visit, so much fun, historic and educational!
DeleteYikes! That does sound scary! We've never met a real witch!
ReplyDeleteHa, Ha! She was the sweetest lady, not one of the actual practicing witches that do live in Salem today. It was a great trip.
DeleteThat book is so cool
ReplyDeleteSnorts,
Lily & Edward
Isn't it!? Kind of freaky too, it's a real book not some prop!
DeleteFUN!!! We hope to visit East Coast - maybe next year. Golden Woofs, SUGAR
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you do!! If you do, I'd love to meet up with you.
DeleteFun - you were in my neck of the woods! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, you mentioned that you grew up around there. New England is so lovely especially in Fall.
DeleteI am really enjoying your trip to Salem. Thanks for sharing. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're enjoying it! It's such a great trip, you guys should go sometime. So much history there.
DeleteWe so want to go to Massachusetts, were an hour away this weekend, just not enough time. Bucket list!
ReplyDeleteThere's never enough time, is there? I hope you make it there soon, it's such a great state!
DeleteOh my THE Salem, the real one. How cool is that? Black Cats are still trying to live witches down aren't they? I am glad you had a fun time, wish I had visited too!!
ReplyDeleteMarjorie and the Dash Kitten Crew
The very same! It really was a super cool trip, so much history there. I love black cats, I think they're so beautiful and sleek.
DeleteWhat a great time! I love history and as a religious studies buff I would love to visit Salem!
ReplyDeleteOh boy would you have a field day there! The strict Puritan religion is one of the things that triggered the stresses of the day and ultimately the witch trials. There was some strive between the Puritans and other religions.
DeleteThe shops probably have some really cools stuff there. I've never been to Salem, maybe one day!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they sure do! There are several that are "witch shops" that sell actual witch practicing paraphernalia. We went into one that wouldn't let anyone photograph or video inside the store! So weird.
DeleteSalem has been on Mommy's list of places to visit for a while now. Glad it was a great trip.
ReplyDeleteMine too, I'm so glad I finally got to go! Loved it.
DeleteWhat fun! Some day I'd love to visit...and the witch in red looks spook-tacular!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun, and very interesting history and not just about witches. That lady you see was the sweetest and a lot of fun!
DeleteFun! I love Salem and hope to take my husband there one of these days!
ReplyDeleteI loved it too. It's such a fun trip to take together, John and I had a great time there. I hope you get to go with your hubby too!
DeleteI've always wanted to visit Salem. We have a Salem in the upstate of South Carolina and I've been told there is a coven there.
ReplyDeleteOh how fascinating! You should definitely try to get there. I'm interested in this South Carolina town, maybe I'll get there one day as well.
DeleteYour photos looked like everyone was having such a good time - how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt was a really fun thing to do days before Halloween, the town is really in full swing in October!
DeleteOh, I've been wanting to go there for a long time! Must have been super interesting - and perfect for Halloween time!
ReplyDeleteIt really was the perfect Halloween trip. It was far more interesting than I expected, they have so much more history there outside the witch trials.
DeleteSo much fun! Greetings from the other Salem--in Oregon!
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
Oh cool! I didn't know there was a Salem in OR too. Any witches there??? LOL!
DeleteA real witch!? how cool!
ReplyDeleteShe wasn't a real witch, just a very sweet lady that had a beautiful witchy hat!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a great visit and learned a lot! I had no idea that there were so many dog friendly places in Salem!
ReplyDeleteIt was terrific! I definitely want to go back, there was a lot more we didn't get to see and a bunch more nighttime "ghost walks" we'd like to go on.
DeleteOh SALEM!!! My husband is from Boston and all I want to do is go and do this tour like you all did! How fun to go around Halloween. I think the witch trials and all that history is super interesting. More pics!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you must go!! Make him take you there. It's such fun, so much to see and do and Learn! There a bunch of museums, historical walks and ghost walks both daytime and nighttime. I definitely want to go back.
DeleteWhat fun! My daughter and son-in-law love Salem. We hope to do a visit there next year!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great little town, and so much fun! You will just LOVE it. So many things to see and do there.
DeleteWOW it looks like you had so so much fun
ReplyDeleteWe had a blast!
DeleteWere the dogs spooked by anything? If any city was haunted, it would be Salem!
ReplyDeleteOh man, Icy was so antsy there! It was the weirdest thing, she's usually great when we travel but she was so uncomfortable, particularly in this one section of the town. They later told us that underground in that area, they used to unload cargo into tunnels and some workers have reported seeing ghosts there. Weird, huh?
DeleteIcy looks unsure lol. I would love to visit Salem one day; I've read many articles and find it quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she was a bit antsy in certain areas of Salem. Unexpected behavior for her. It's a great trip, we loved it.
DeleteI commented via my phone yesterday but it isn't here so if this is a duplicate, please delete. I am enjoying your Salem trip so much. It is perfect for Halloween. ♥
ReplyDeleteI had some issues replying too so there must have been an issue. I was able to reply today though! I'm so glad you enjoyed the post, you would LOVE this place - it has to be super inspiring for any book Author!
